Cloud Software Engineer

April 2020 - Present

Intel Corporation

  • Enabled new platforms and led the performance characterizations on Microsoft SQL Server on Windows
  • Delivered in-depth platform tuning reports to enable Architects to take key decisions on future generations of Xeon
  • Worked on profiling few of the industry standard workloads like TPC-E to determine bottlenecks in code execution and determine the potential for using accelerators for restoring the backups.
  • Engaged with customers to publish the best-in-class performance data on Enterprise OLTP workloads on Microsoft SQL Server on Intel Architecture.
  • Identified issues with SQL Server compilation methods and characterized the replacements with profile guided optimizations. Customers showed positive response in considering the impact.
  • Enabled marketing refresh collaterals to ensure successful Xeon launch
  • Delivered POCs to enable new IA security technologies for Intel CPUs and adjacencies for SQL Server usecase.
